L.A. Bikini Chef chooses Scottish Quality Salmon for UK debutSusan Irby, better known to millions of Americans as The Bikini Chef, has chosen Scottish Quality Salmon as the centrepiece of her UK cooking debut this month. Los Angeles-based Susan, who has popularised light and healthy gourmet specialities in the US, will also be wearing her favourite dish – a salmon skin bikini – as she treats a group of VIP private diners at The Athenaeum Hotel in London’s Piccadilly to Scottish Quality Salmon en Papillote over Lemon Vermicelli and Short Grain Rice on Monday 24th May. An advocate of regular salmon consumption for its all round health benefits, Susan practices what she preaches and eats salmon almost every day. Notes to Editors: Scottish Quality Salmon is dedicated to improving the quality and sustainability of salmon farming in Scotland – from feed companies through to salmon smokers and processors – the whole production chain. Membership now represents 65% of the tonnage produced by the Scottish salmon farming industry. Scottish Quality Salmon was the first fish and first non-French product to obtain the prestigious Label Rouge back in 1992. Twelve years later it remains the only non-French food to meet the quality scheme’s rigorous standards.
