Support for the sustainable development of EU aquaculture
Welcoming the European Commission’s communication on "Building a sustainable future for aquaculture – A new impetus for the Strategy for the sustainable development of European aquaculture", Scott Landsburgh, Chief Executive, said:
“We welcome the European Union’s commitment to the further development of aquaculture and the recognition that the sector produces high quality products with significant health benefits for the consumer.
“As the UK is the second largest aquaculture producer by value in the EU, we endorse the European commitment to provide new political impetus and leadership to the sustainable development and competitiveness of our sector,” he added.
