Research shows oily fish may protect unborn babies from asthma

New research has shown that asthmatic pregnant women who eat oily fish may protect their unborn babies from inheriting the allergy.

Researchers from the Keck School of Medicine at the University of Southern California have suggested that the anti-inflammatory qualities of the essential omega-3 fatty acids appear to lead to the reduction in risk of inheriting the allergy.

Several media outlets have reported on the evidence this week, including the Daily Telegraph, The Herald and The Guardian.
