Salmon farmer wins top business and environment award

Loch Duart won one of the top honours at a business and environment ceremony in Glasgow on 6th December, picking up the medium company category at the 2005 Vision in Business for the Environment of Scotland (VIBES) Awards.

Alan Balfour, Commercial Director of Loch Duart, commented: “We are all thrilled at this Award because environmentalism in business means extra focus and hard work from everyone. At first, it can cost more and require greater commitment but the rewards, both environmentally and ethically, are well worth the effort.”

Medium sized businesses in the VIBES Award category employ 10 to 250 employees. Businesses from all sectors and types across Scotland are encouraged to apply. For more information visit www.vibes.org.uk and www.lochduart.com. Following this success, Loch Duart can now enter the 2007 European Environmental Awards.
